“Family Portrait” CD receives approval from the Dove Foundation
FRANKLIN, TN – John Brendan Russell’s family oriented music CD “Family Portrait” received an endorsement from the Dove Foundation, and may now display the Dove Seal prominently on the CD. The Dove Foundation awarded the Family Portrait CD it's highest possible rating ( 5 out of 5 Dove's ) and has agreed to offer the CD in their online store.
THE DOVE FOUNDATION is a non-profit organization established to encourage and promote the creation, production and distribution of wholesome family entertainment. The seal has been dubbed, “the Good Housekeeping seal for Family Entertainment,” by Steve Allen, entertainer & Dove advisor.
In order to receive this seal, the CD was reviewed by the Dove Foundation review board, which is made up of parents who have been trained to ethically evaluate different forms of entertainment media, ensuring family-quality entertainment. In addition to awarding “Family Portrait” the Dove Seal, an agreement has been reached to sell the CD through the Dove Foundation’s website at www.dove.org.

Family Entertainment Artist John Brendan Russell Releases an Album for Parents
FRANKLIN, TENN – Family entertainment is brought back to mainstream music with
the January 3rd release of John Brendan Russell’s new CD, “Family Portrait”.
“Family Portrait” began as Russell’s personal quest to bring family - friendly lyrics back
to the airwaves. Due to concerns about increasingly questionable content, Russell had
grown leery of leaving his young children to listen to the radio, or to watch television
without his supervision. “I wanted to provide a fun, positive themed, values based
entertainment choice for my family. I’d like to dedicate this CD to every parent out there
who has ever had to scramble for the remote control to prevent their family from being
exposed to inappropriate material” muses Russell.
Parents of all ages will instantly relate to Russell’s humorous up-tempo songs as well as
his heart warming ballads. Listeners have compared his vocal style to Richie McDonald
of Lonestar, and the late John Denver. “John Brendan Russell has the rare ability to
